Kids Matinee Movie and Craft with Bryn Mawr Film Institute and Main Line Animal Rescue

A chance to see Homeward Bound – The Incredible Journey preceded by a brief slideshow featuring Main Line Animal Rescues available dogs, and the very important work they do in the fight against puppy mills to make sure dogs are safe and receive loving care. Following the movie children joined us in the media room to design their own Main Line Animal Rescue buttons to sport on their clothes or put on their backpacks to raise awareness.

Dog Wash

Volunteer washers and groomers joined Dog Gone Walking and got down and dirty to clean up local canine companions. Thank you to Fit For A Dog in Ardmore for donating space,

Buzzy’s Bow Wow Meow for the best smelling doggie shampoo ever and caring pet parents around the Main Line for their dog wash donations that were delivered directly to Main Line Animal Rescue.

Paint Your Own Pottery Party

Thank you to The Mud Room in Ardmore for hosting a PAWS benefit party and donating 100% of the days studio fees directly to PAWS. Painting your own piece has never felt so good!

Happy Hour With Your Dog

Enjoying an evening out with your pooch and other dog lovers is fun and relaxing at The Valley Green Inn in Philadelphia who generously donated a portion of the evenings proceeds to PAWS. Bread baskets with doggie treats and all, they sure now how to cater to this group!

Family Blessing With Your Pets – Showing Kindness To All Living Things

We gathered at Main Line Reform Temple in the “barking lot” for an experience of community, joy, and blessings. We brought our friendly pets and were joined by local rescue groups including PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society), Main Line Animal Rescue, National Greyhound Adoption, Lynn Rae Fenimore Pet Photography and Buzzy’s Bow Wow Meow. Main Line Reform Temple Mitzvah Day, We Add The Animal Welfare Section!

Fundraising and awareness. Giving back was celebrated with opportunities for community service and service learning for all age participation in a variety of projects. The Handwork Studio of Narberth donated supplies and talent to inspire children to put their creative talents to work in the creation of three quilts donated to rescue groups to auction off during their annual fundraisers. Artwork themes included “Stop Puppy Mills”, “Make Adoption Your First Option”, and “Love and Care For Your Pet Forever.”

Cat toys were made and decorating using donated socks, catnip, stuffing and non-toxic markers that were then delivered to PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society). Bake Sale served hundreds of people and was manned by child and adult volunteers. Towels, crates, bowls and cleaning supplies were brought in and then delivered to local shelters and rescue groups.

Peace For Puppies First Annual Bowling Benefit

Guiding sponsor planning this fun-filled event with children who wanted to make a difference in the lives of homeless animals.  More than 60 children and their families joined us at Wynnewood Lanes for bowling, bake sale, Peace For Puppies t-shirt sale, spirit contest and opportunities to learn.  Kids gained confidence, worked as a team and raised $1,000 to donate to PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society) and The Humane Society of The United States.

Compassionate Animal Welfare Celebration

A great way to celebrate kindness, compassion and respect was brought to life with a vegetarian catered meal for 100 people followed by a great performance by The Soozy Pooch Crew, a fun and educational band for children and adults.

Yappy Hour Benefit for PSPCA

A “Yappy Hour” March 24 at the Palomar Hotel in Philadelphia was a celebration to launch TV personality Wendy Diamond and “Lucky” Diamond’s new book and a benefit for the Pennsylvania SPCA. The title of Wendy’s new book is “It’s a Dog’s World, the Savvy Guide to Four Legged Living.” more
