Many wonderful projects for adults and children to participate in this Sunday!  Dog Gone Walking will be working with The Handwork Studio of Narberth and volunteers to make a beautiful patchwork quilt to be donated to benefit animal welfare groups at Main Line Reform Temple, hosting a bake sale/bagel brunch and then heading out to Main Line Animal Rescue with volunteers for a spring clean up!  Contact me if you’d like to participate…still have more slots available.

Teaching children how to properly greet a dog and providing them with the tools to understand their body language keeps everyone safe and happy.  This group of cub scouts got the message and now feel confident in their ability to assess different situations and act accordingly with dogs.  Did you know if a dog is chasing you and you want them to stop you should “be a tree” -  stand still and silent, arms crossed, looking away.

Shelters and rescue groups in our area are full to capacity.  If you have ever thought of adopting or fostering an animal in need now is a good time to act.  You would absolutely save a life.  The situation is dire for many animals as Philadelphia is euthanizing due to lack of space.  Too many dogs, not enough families.

2 More Saturdays in January to meet Main Line Animal Rescue Alumni dogs and see great “kids matinee” movies- adults love them too!  On January 22 they will be showing Benji and on January 29 come on out to see Cats and Dogs.

Animal themed kids matinee movies every Saturday in January, 11am at the Bryn Mawr Film Institute.  Dog Gone Walking is partnering with BMFI, and  Main Line Animal Rescue to provide a fun day at the movies, information on  responsible pet ownership, adoption, and volunteer opportunities for children and adults!  When you come out you’ll also meet some wonderful Main Line Animal Rescue Alumni dogs!
